Code of Conduct

Last updated: January 2026.

Our Commitment

Youth Advance Global is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants — regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or professional experience.

This code applies to all YAG spaces: the online platform, conference venues, social events, communication channels, and any interaction between participants, speakers, organizers, and staff.

Expected Behavior

  • Treat all participants with respect and professionalism.
  • Be considerate of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Use welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Respect personal boundaries and consent.
  • Give credit where it is due. Do not present others' work as your own.
  • Follow the instructions of conference staff and venue security.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated under any circumstances:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discriminatory remarks.
  • Sexual harassment, including unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Photography or recording without consent in private settings.
  • Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or other events.
  • Threats of violence or violent language directed at another person.
  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission.
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it immediately:

  • At a conference: Approach any YAG staff member (identified by badge or lanyard). They will help you find a safe space and take your report.
  • Online: Email conduct@youthadvanceglobal.org. You can also use the contact form.
  • Anonymous reports: We accept anonymous reports. We may not be able to follow up directly, but we will investigate and take appropriate action.

All reports are treated confidentially. We will not retaliate against anyone who makes a good-faith report.

Consequences

Participants who violate this code of conduct may face:

  • A verbal or written warning.
  • Removal from a specific session or event.
  • Ejection from the conference without refund.
  • Permanent ban from future YAG events and the platform.
  • Reporting to appropriate law enforcement, if warranted.

The severity of the response will be proportional to the severity of the violation, at the discretion of the YAG organizing team.

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all interactions within YAG spaces. It also applies to behavior outside YAG spaces when that behavior has the potential to affect the safety or well-being of YAG community members.
